Concealed Carry Permits
  1. You must complete the Firearms Safety Course first.

  2. After completion of the course, you must call to schedule an appointment at (252) 738-2205 for Tuesday or Thursday for the application process.

  3. At the time of your appointment you will complete a packet of mandated forms necessary for the application process. You must bring the following to your appointment.

    • A Firearms Safety Training Course Certificate as required by the State of North Carolina

    • A ninety-dollar ($90) application fee in the form of cash (exact change), check, or a money order payable to the Vance County Sheriffs Office.

    • A valid North Carolina driver's license. The name and address on your license must agree with the name and address on your application.

    • A copy of Discharge (DD214) is mandatory for all people who have served in the United States military.
