Administrative Support Staff Overview

The Office Staff of the Vance County Sheriff's Office provides a valuable service to the citizens of Vance County.
Our office staff consists of an office manager, three support specialists and one sworn Deputy. Some of the responsibilities of the office staff are as follows:
- Answering and routing business telephone calls for the Sheriff, Major, Patrol
Division, Detective Division, Narcotics Division and Civil Division

Entering and removing civil and criminal papers into our Records Management System
- Entering and updating all Domestic Violence Orders
- Entering and monitoring all Sex Offender Registry's and Concealed handgun permits
- Processing background checks and pistol purchase permits
- Entering all stolen property, missing persons and felony warrant information into
DCI / NCIC
- Maintaining all personnel records and training certifications required by North
Carolina Sheriff's Training and Standards Commission
- Assisting the public with any other problems that may arise
